Day Drinker Tells Cops He Just Wants to Walk Home

Police found an empty can of Milwaukee's Best under the passenger seat when searching the car.

A Fox Point man told police he just wanted to walk home after they caught him allegedly drunk driving and sporting a fake registration sticker on his car. However, police determined that wasn't the best option after finding an empty can of Milwaukee's Best under the seat.

Bayside police were patrolling near the Brown Deer and Port Washington Roads intersection just before 3 p.m. on Dec. 30 when a DOT check on a nearby vehicle showed expired registration, despite having a 2013 sticker.

Police pulled the 46-year-old Fox Point man over and the man said he didn’t have his license on him. Police could smell alcohol on the driver’s breath, according to the report, and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot. He denied drinking and was able to recite the alphabet without any errors for police.
