Dog Bites Boy in the Face

The latest local police reports include a skateboarding accident and the theft of solar-powered yard lights.

A German Shepherd bit a boy in the face last week, after the dog’s owner told him not to get near the dog.

The owner of the dog advised the boy not to go in the house on Yates Road in Fox Point because the dog can be aggressive and protective. The boy insisted that he was “good with dogs” and entered the house. Despite the dog’s growling, the boy started petting the dog and bent down to kiss him when the dog bit him in the face.

The boy had a large gash on his cheek after the incident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. on June 16. No citations were issued against the dog owner, because they tried to prevent the boy from getting near the dog.
