Driving Too Slow OK if Staying Between the Lines

Drunk driver couldn't complete the alphabet, or stay on his side of the road.

Driving too slow can get you pulled over, especially if you're straddling the yellow line and meandering across the center line.

On Saturday at 3 a.m., observed a truck going 20 mph in a 35 mph zone and continued at that speed for nearly a mile. The officer's report says he followed the vehicle as it straddled between the two northbound lanes of North Port Washington Road, and occasionally crossed the center line, pulling the driver over in the 9600 block.

The driver, a 52-year-old Milwaukee man, had enough alcohol on his breath the officer could smell it as they spoke. When asked how much he had to drink, he admitted to only one. The man’s eyes were very bloodshot and glassy according to the officer's report and when they asked the driver to complete the alphabet, he could not.
