A vehicle driving down Brown Deer Road with no headlights caught the attention of police officers and eventually ended in a drunk driving arrest at the Open Pantry early Sunday morning.
Fox Point police first noticed the vehicle driving down Brown Deer Road toward Port Washington Road with no headlights at 2:48 a.m. Sunday. A Bayside police officer witnessed the driver, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man, pull into the Open Pantry lot and attempt to ask the attendant for travel directions by yelling at him through the building's window.
When police approached the man about his headlights, he said they got knocked out when he hit a fence near Good Hope Road and 43rd Street in Brown Deer. The man told police he had three drinks at Nostalgia night club in Milwaukee. A breath test revealed the man had a blood alcohol content of 0.165.
The man was transported to the Bayside Police Department, where he vomited. The man agreed to a blood draw at Saint Mary's Hospital in Mequon, but results are still being processed at the crime lab at this time.
