Drunk Underagers Screaming Down Lake Drive

No, really. They were literally screaming with their heads out the window, according to a witness.

A woman called Bayside police last week when she saw a car of boys screaming out of their car windows as they doubled the speed limit on Lake Drive.

The raucous scene was reported at 7:43 p.m. on Aug. 5 on Lake Drive at Buttles Place. The witness said the car was headed toward Doctors Park. Once police arrived at the park, they talked with the driver of the vehicle, who denied speeding.

Police noticed the other boy – the passenger – was holding a clear water bottle with clear liquid and a Coca-Cola bottle with dark liquid. After initially denying that the bottles contained alcohol, the boys eventually admitted the clear water bottle contained Blueberry Bacardi rum, which they were chasing with the other bottle of Coca-Cola.

After noticing other plastic bottles in the car, police decided to search the entire vehicle for more contraband. They discovered two marijuana pipes and a marijuana grinder. One of the boys was given a ticket for underage drinking, and the other was ticketed for underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
