Fox Point Man Arrested for Third OWI

The 51-year-old was cooperative and admitted to drinking, according to police.

A 51-year-old Fox Point man was arrested for his third operating while intoxicated offense last Friday.

Dispatch notified officers of a possible drunk driver traveling south on I-43 from Mequon Road just after 9 p.m. An officer spotted the vehicle as it exited the highway to westbound Brown Deer Road. While entering the exit ramp, the vehicle veered to the right, almost striking the curb on the ramp, according to the police report.

At the top of the ramp the vehicle crossed the solid white line while entering eastbound Brown Deer Road. The vehicle proceeded to the intersection with Port Washington Road, and officer pulled the car over on Port Washington Road.

Officers could smell alcohol from inside the vehicle and the man’s eyes were bloodshot and watery. The man admitted to officers that he had been drinking and cooperated throughout the arrest. His blood-alcohol level on the breath test was 0.14.
