Fox Point Man Victim of Debit Card Fraud in New Jersey
He discovered his Visa had been used for gas in New Jersey after his bank account went into the red.
A 25-year-old Fox Point man was the victim of debit card fraud when he discovered someone had purchased $90 in gas from a Shell gas station in New Jersey.
He discovered the fraudulent transaction when his bank alerted him that he had overdrawn his account, according to the report. He contacted Friday to report the fraud and told them he still had the debit card in his possession, so he couldn't figure out how the number was compromised.
Officers instructed him to notify police if he finds any other fraudulent charges.
