UPDATED: Fox Point Teen Suspected in Merton Homicide

Elderly man was victim of homicide on his property Sunday.

A 17-year-old Fox Point teenager is in custody for an alleged homicide Sunday in the Town of Merton.

Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department Detective Steve Pederson said the teen is expected to be charged Tuesday in connection with a suspected stabbing of a 78-year-old Merton man on his property Sunday.

Officers were alerted of the incident at 11:31 a.m. Sunday and the incident remains under investigation.

According to a sheriff’s department press release, the suspect was at the victim’s home for a family gathering, but officials are not yet releasing the nature of the relationship of the victim and suspect given the fluid nature of the investigation.

Several sources have identified the victim as real estate developer Ronald Siepmann.

According to the company’s website, he founded Siepmann Realty Corp. in the 1950s and became nationally known for his creative style of development.

The company has numerous residential, commercial and industrial properties in Waukesha County, including the Gateway West industrial development in Brookfield and Dry Creek development in Town of Waukesha.

No other suspects are being sought in connection with the incident.

Pederson said no other details are being released at this time, however, the teen is expected to be formally charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday. He is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail.
