Glendale Woman Killed in Fiery Crash

The woman's vehicle struck a UPS truck, sending both vehicles into flames on Green Bay Avenue Monday afternoon.

A 57-year-old Glendale woman was killed after her vehicle crashed into a UPS truck near Green Bay Avenue and Custer Avenue Monday afternoon.

The woman, identified Tuesday morning as Corinne Strahl, was traveling northbound on Green Bay Avenue in the lane adjacent to the curb when her 2003 Honda Civic struck a legally parked UPS truck at about 4 p.m. Monday. The Civic and the UPS truck both erupted into flames after the crash, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. 

The UPS driver was out of the truck making a delivery and he, along with a witness, pulled Strahl from the burning car. There were no other occupants in the Honda, according to police.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department.
