A 51-year-old Milwaukee man is facing hefty fines and prison time for trying to boost some jewelry from Boston Store.

Kevin Frederick Wallace was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of retail theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Wallace walked into Boston Store at Bayshore Town Center and a store security guard saw him pick several pieces of jewelry, take the tags off and place in his pocket. Wallace then left the store, but was stopped and Glendale police officers were called to the scene.
