A 37-year-old Newburg man is facing his fourth drunk driving charge after he was caught driving drunk through Bayside Tuesday evening.
Charles Dale Roos was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of fourth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in Milwaukee County Jail and $2,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
A Bayside police officer was driving northbound on I-43 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when he noticed Roos driving without any tail lights on. He followed Roos and saw him cross the yellow fog line three times and make contact with the rumble strip the third time, prompting him to pull Roos over.
Roos was then taken to the where officers performed field sobriety tests. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.06 at the time of the incident.
Roos was previously convicted of OWI in 1999 and twice in 2003. He’s currently free on $1,200 cash bail while awaiting trial.
