Cocaine Bust During Shoplifting Arrest at Bayshore

A Glendale man had cocaine on him when he attempted to steal four Android touch pads from Kohl's, police say.

A 29-year-old Glendale man is accused of shoplifting from Bayshore Mall while carrying cocaine.

Joshua Allen Bowen was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of retail theft and one count of possession of cocaine. If convicted, he faces up to 21 months in prison and $15,000 in fines.

On Wednesday, a store security officer at Kohl’s spotted Bowen take four Zeki Android touch pads, cut the security devices off with a wire cutter, then conceal the items and walk out the store.

He was confronted with the items and Bowen said he was going to sell the items for food.

Bowen was then searched by a Glendale police officer who found cocaine on him. Bowen said he bought the drugs for $20.

Bowen is being held on a $250 signature bond and was ordered turned over to the JUSTICE 2000 program for supervision while awaiting trial.
