A 28-year-old Milwaukee man is facing his third drunk driving charge after he was caught allegedly driving erratically through Fox Point last week.
William P. Harvill III was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Sept. 29 with one count of third-offense operating while intoxicated and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail and $2,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Sept. 30, a Fox Point police officer on patrol spotted Harvill cross the center line several times while driving in the 8100 block of North Port Washington Road. Harvill also crossed over the center line after turning onto the 300 block of East Bradley Road, then the officer noticed the wrong license plates were on the car and pulled him over.
Harvill smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking before driving. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.13.
Harvill was previously convicted of OWI in 2009 and 2010. He will make his initial appearance in court Sept. 14.
