Bayside police arrested a man for possession of marijuana near Doctor's Park last week.
Bayside police saw two unoccupied vehicles in the lot after park hours, around 10:45 p.m. on Aug. 15. Upon investigation, police saw seven people walking on the beach. One of the men was in the wooded area, and police later found a 2.5-gram baggie of marijuana in the same area.
The police officer walked the group back to their cars in the parking lot. When nobody took ownership of the marijuana baggie, the officer threatened to cite all of them with trespassing in the park after hours. At that time, one of the men admitted the bag belonged to him.
