Mequon Teen Tries to Steal World of Warcraft Game Card

Best Buy hit by teens for the second time in one week.

, a Mequon teen tried a similar ploy just one day later.

Around 11:21 a.m. Thursday, Fox Point police were called for a theft in progress at . The security officer pointed out the 16-year-old Mequon boy to an officer and said she had seen the teen on camera opening a gaming package and putting the contents in his left sweatshirt pocket.

The teen was taken into custody, handcuffed and searched. In the left pocket of his sweatshirt, officers found a World of Warcraft game card, valued at $29.99. He was transported the  and cited for retail theft

However, this isn't the only recent theft attempt at Best Buy. On Oct. 26, a 15-year-old River Hills girl tried to steal an $80 cell phone; on , removing them from their packaging in the bathroom; and nearly  Sept. 27.
