A on patrol Sunday was monitoring traffic in the 700 block of westbound West Brown Deer Road when he saw a Chevrolet Tahoe approaching with a suspended registration for unpaid parking tickets and pulled it over in the 2000 block of West Brown Deer Road.

Harris was driving the SUV and police could smell alcohol on his breath when they spoke. He admitted he had taken two shots before driving. He then failed field sobriety tests, was arrested and taken to St. Mary’s Ozaukee County Hospital for a blood test. On the way there, he told police,  “I know I’m (expletive) OWI, I’ll take the OWI.”

Once they got to the hospital the officer asked Harris to consent to the blood test, but he just gave a blank stare back, so blood had to be drawn forcefully. He was then taken back to the Bayside Police Department where he refused to take an intoximeter test, then changed his mind and consented before refusing once again.

Harris was previously convicted of OWI in 2004 and 2005. He’s currently free on $850 bail while awaiting his court date.
