Students at Nicolet High School are coping with the suicide of a fellow student Thursday evening.
Superintendent Robert Kobylski said the district learned of the death mid-afternoon Thursday.
Kobylski said there were counselors dispersed throughout the community Thursday night to meet with students on a case-by-case basis, but there is no single place where students or staff were congregating.
"We do have things happening this evening, we have counselors dispersed within the community based on some pockets of students who are getting together," he said. "We're dispersing those forces. Our crisis team is out and about in the community."
The district did not release any information about the student or the circumstance surrounding the death.
Nicolet pupil services staff will be available to meet with any faculty or students on Friday in the high school library from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
