Parkway Kids Get $1,000 to Christmas Shop with a Cop

Parkway Elementary kids will head to Kohl's to Christmas shop, then to iPic for bowling and lunch with Glendale police officers.

Underprivilidged kids who may not normally see happy holidays are getting a chance Sunday when they will Shop With a Glendale Cop at Kohl's. 

For the fifth year, the Glendale Professional Police Officer’s Association will take 10 second- and third-graders from Parkway Elementary School Christmas shopping for their families. Each student is outfitted with $100, from GPPA, iPic and Kohl's, to spend on themselves and their families at Kohl's Department Store. After shopping, all the kids and officers will head over to iPic for a complimentary lunch and bowling. 

Students will meet at the Rotunda in Bayshore Mall at 10 a.m. to be paired up with a police officer before heading out to shop. At 11:30 a.m., students will head up to iPic for lunch and a bowling party.
