Police Report: Vodka and Scrap Metal Stolen

About 30 gas line meters, valued at $4,500, were stolen off an unattended flatbed trailer in Fox Point last week.

About 30 gas line meter sets and other assorted scrap metal was stolen off the back of a truck parked in the Fox Point Pool parking lot.

The gas line meters, valued at $4,500, were stolen off an unattended flatbed trailer in the parking lot sometime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 8. The meters belonged to KS Energy, who was contracted by We Energies to complete gas line work in the village.Β 

The employees left the area for several hours and returned to find the missing equipment, which they estimated would have taken 15 to 20 minutes to take. Crews told police they saw a pick-up truck full of scrap metal driving around the area.Β

  • A man stole four bottles of Ciroc vodka from CVS Pharmacy at 10 a.m. May 7. A store employee told police that the man set off the alarm when he ran out of the store. When he drove off, he almost hit another car in the parking lot and later made an illegal u-turn on Brown Deer Road. The liquor is valued at $145.69. He was cited for retail theft, operating without a valid license and making an illegal u-turn.
  • A man allegedly used a stolen debit card to purchase a bottle of Advil, a pack of Wrigley's gum and two cartons of Newport cigarettes from Walgreens on April 26. Police determined the debit cards were stolen from two police recuit students at Lake Shore Technical College on April 4. The man is also suspected of using the card to purchase $80.63 in merchandise from a Walgreens in Sheboygan, $27.27 in merchandise from a Citgo in Mequon and $213.27 in merchandise from a Speedway in Glendale.
  • In Bayside, $2 in change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 8900 block of Iroquois Road sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday.Β
