Report: Arrest Made in Stabbing of Bayside Bicyclist

50-year-old homeless man in custody in connection with incident on Milwaukee's east side.

A 50-year-old homeless man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and robbing an 18-year-old Bayside man on an east side bike trail, the Journal Sentinel is reporting.

near the 2100 block of North Oakland Avenue on Monday morning, when the suspect asked if he could use the bicyclist's cell phone.

The victim gave the suspect his phone, and the suspect ran off. The victim grabbed the suspect and while they struggled for the phone, the suspect took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the in the stomach.

The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
