Stolen Bike Dumped at RiverPoint

Bike was stolen from an open garage in Fox Point. An hour after the homeowner called police, the bike turned up at RiverPoint Shopping Center, but not in the same condition as when it was stolen.

A Fox Point family lost a bicycle when it was stolen from their open garage. But when it turned up just hours later at RiverPoint Shopping Center, it was broken and missing parts.Β

The homeowner told Fox Point police a bicycle had been taken from his open garage, according to the police report. He said he last saw the bicycle when he returned home from the grocery store. Around 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10, his daughter had left the garage door open and then at 9:10 p.m., he noticed the bike was gone.Β

An hour later, the homeowner called back to report they had found the bike at Riverpoint Shopping Center, but the rear derailleur was broken, the front light was broken off and the rear LED light was missing the report said.
