Thief Steals Two Purses in Plain Sight in Fox Point

Vehicles were locked, so thief broke passenger windows.

A thief got a bit bolder on Sunday when he stole two purses at 1 p.m. during a local soccer game.

were called to the Indian Creek Park in the 200 block of E. Dean Rd. because two women were missing their purses, but this incident differs from because these vehicles were locked, forcing the thief to break the passenger windows.

A Fox Point officer said there were roughly 25 cars in the lot. The purses were on the front seat in both vehicles in plain sight.

Officers say that it looked like the thief used a prying tool, like a screwdriver, and pried on the window until it broke, leaving a fairly deep ding into the window and estimated around $500 to fix. Both victim's were from Milwaukee.
