Window Smashed, Purse Stolen from Car Parked at Bayside Middle School
Although this woman took extra precautions to hide her purse from plain view, someone still broke her window and snatched her purse while she took a short, half-hour walk.
Better safe than sorry didn't work out for this Bayside woman, who's purse was stolen from her car despite the fact that she took extra care to hide it.
A 41-year-old Bayside woman parked in the Bayside Middle School parking lot and took extra precautions to hide her purse from plain view before she went for a walk. However, that didn’t deter someone from smashing in her window to grab her hidden purse.
She told police she left her purse underneath a blanket in the back seat while she went for a walk. But when she returned, she found the passenger side rear window had been smashed and her purse was gone, according to the police report.
