As November Nears, Loose Leaf Collection Comes to a Close

This is your last chance to get rid of leaves before winter snows bury them all.

The Village’s loose leaf collection is coming to an end in November. Please check the loose leaf collection map to determine your final collection date. This will be your last chance to get rid of any leaves you have in your yard before winter arrives. Residents can also bring bagged leaves to the yard waste drop-off site, 201 E. Fairy Chasm Road., at any time.

Crews will begin collection in the northwest section of the Village and will work each day on leaf collection. On average, each home is collected three times each fall. Heavy leaf fall, coupled with inclement weather can slow crews. We ask for your patience during these times.

Loose Leaf Guidelines

  • Please set leaves curbside, out of the ditch and culvert area, and not in the road for pickup.
  • Leaves do not need to be put into a bag(s) for collection (during loose leaf season). However, bagged leaves to do help speed up collection, allowing for more leaf collection. Please do not use plastic bags for leaves.
  • Have all loose leaves consolidated into one pile per property.
  • Place material away from mailboxes or other structures so that it may be easily accessible.
  • Do not mix leaves with other yard waste, such as branches or twigs.
  • Open burning is prohibited.
