Barth, Walny Maintain Their Seats on the Bayside Village Board

The two incumbents survived a four-way race for village trustee in Tuesday's election.

Bayside voters chose Mike Barth and Eido Walny to continue to represent them on the Village Board for the next three years.

Incumbents Barth and Walny survived a four-way challenge from former Nicolet School Board member Kelly Herda and political newcomer Tom Noble in Tuesday's spring election.

When reached by phone Tuesday night, Barth said he appreciates the continued support from village residents.

“I’m just glad to see the support for what we’ve accomplished as a board,” Barth said. “I’m glad to see that’s recognized, and I look forward to continue to work toward improving Bayside.”

Barth, 55, was first elected to a partial term in 2003 and has been re-elected in 2004, 2007 and 2010. Barth has lived in the village for 18 years and is a vice president and product manager at Associated Bank.

Walny, 37, was first elected to a partial term in 2008, and was re-elected in 2010. A village resident of seven years, Walny is an estate and asset protection attorney and the owner of Walny Legal Group.

Here's how the vote breaks down:

Wisconsin Supreme Court

Incumbent Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack received 10 more Bayside votes than her challenger, Marquette law professor Ed Fallone. Roggensack received 532 votes to Fallone's 522.

Circuit Court Judge (Branch 45)

In the lone contested race for judgeship in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, incumbent Judge Rebecca Bradley received 55 percent of the vote in Bayside, toppling Assistant District Attorney Janet Protasiewicz.

Superintendent of Schools

In the superintendent of schools contest, incumbent Tony Evers garnered 62 percent of the Bayside vote, edging out challenger state Rep. Don Pridemore.
