Building Board OKs New Signage

Village of Fox Point approves new signs for some facilities this morning.

The Fox Point Building Board approved some new signs for the village, and gave some suggestions to the other applicants at this morning's meeting.

The   Administrator Rachel Boechler proposed a new sign today to the board for the Dunwood Center on West Dunwood Road.

A new aluminum, free-standing and back-lit sign would replace the current wooden sign. The district proposed two color schemes, and the board approved a forest green theme. The school board has already approved of this sign choice. Installation will begin in the spring when the ground is no longer frozen.

Every day, many people drive down North Port Washington Road past the North Shore Shopping Center. Their uniform signs are easily visible from the road, all matching one another. Today, the building board approved new signage for Premier Vision, with the provision that it meet the standard requirements of the shopping center for size, spacing and color of lettering.

Advanced Pain Management is under construction on North Port Washington Road and plans to complete its facility by Jan. 31. The board approved this proposed sign as well, with the condition that the other two suites in the building, when they become filled, will have signs matching the same criteria. They will have to reappear in front of the board at that point for specific approval of the other suite signs.
