Four New Faces Running For Fox-Bay School Board

New faces have also popped up for Bayside and Fox Point Village Boards and Maple Dale-Indian Hill School Board.

Local candidates have filed their nomination papers to seek election to area boards and political offices. The deadline was 5 p.m. Wednesday. Here's a look at the new, and returning faces, you'll find in Fox Point and Bayside:

Fox Point-Bayside School Board

Elizabeth Wick, 8909 N. Pelham Parkway, Michael Weidner, 8485 N. Fielding Road, David Smulyan, 9073 N. Bayside Drive, and Thomas Hayssen, 1111 E. Bywater Lane, are all new faces running for the two open Fox Point-Bayside School Board seats. No incumbents filed for reelection.

Terms are three years and there is no salary.

Maple Dale-Indian Hill School Board

Jim LeTart, 621 W. Fairy Chasm Road, has submitted the appropriate paperwork indicating that he will not run for the MDIH School Board. Newcomer Christopher Soyke, 9250 N. Spruce Road, has turned in his papers to run for school board. 

Board members serve three-year terms and there is no salary.

Nicolet School Board

One seat is available on the Nicolet School Board and only incumbent Ellen Redeker, 6601 N. Alberta Court, filed papers to run. No challengers have surfaced. 

Board members serve three-year terms and are paid $1,000 annually.

Bayside Village Board

There are four people running for two trustee positions in Bayside. Incumbents Eido Walny, 9440 N. Fairway Drive, and Michael Barth, 9270 N. Waverly Drive, are running for reelection and newcomers Tom Noble, 728 E. Fairy Chasm Road, and Kelly Herda, 8905 N. Iroquois Road, have submitted paperwork.  

Board members serve three-year terms and are paid $1,200 annually.

Fox Point Village Board

Incumbents Eric Fonstad, 7405 N. Beach Drive, and Douglas H. Frazer, 6405 N. Berkeley Boulevard, have turned in their paperwork for reelection. Newcomer Terry McGauran, 308 E Willow Road, will challenge Fonstad and Frazer for one of the two trustee seats up for grabs.

Trustees serve unpaid three-year terms.
