Here to Serve: The Faces of Village Government

Take a look at those cleaning your streets, answering 911 calls, and keeping Bayside running smoothly.

Wisconsin has been at the epicenter of debate and at times, questions the value of public employees as a whole. I very much understand that paying taxes is not always a desirable way to spend money; however as I examine our efficiencies each day and how our organization puts your tax dollars to work, I am reminded of the principles of integrity, service, and solutions that our employees pride themselves in.

I would like to step back and thank each and every one of our employees for the work they do, the services they provide, and their dedication to the Bayside community. When we look at public employees on a collective whole, it is easy to make broad generalizations. However, when we break it down to the individual level of the service each employee provides on a routine basis, we think differently.

During the months of July through September, several of our employees celebrated service anniversaries with the . To each of them and to all of our employees, I would like to say thank you for your years of dedication and service to the Village and its residents.

Alex manages not only the Community and Utility Services crew, but oversees the budgets for stormwater and sanitary sewer issues, works inclusively with residents to resolve issues and code violations, prepares Village communications, and completes any other work that is asked. These examples are just a few of many things our employees do, and for a moment, in this tumultuous year, I would like to recognize and thank them and their co-workers for ensuring Bayside is a safe, sound, great place to live, work and play.
