Report: Poll Says Darling, Pasch Neck and Neck in Senate Recall Race

Democratic party poll says only a one percent difference in voter support.

The Democratic Party has released results of a poll that shows Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) and Rep. Sandy Pasch (D-Whitefish Bay) are neck and neck with voter support, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The newspaper says the poll results show Pasch pulling slightly ahead with 47 percent of the votes, leaving Darling with only 46 percent.

A total of 350 likely voters were surveyed on July 13 and 14, by the Mellman Group. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percentage points. In comparison, .

Darling is one of six Republican and three Democratic senators targeted for a recall this summer. At the heart of the efforts is Gov. Scott Walker's that eliminated state and local government workers of most of their collective bargaining rights.

Pasch will challenge Darling in an Aug. 9 recall election for her 8th District Senate seat.
