Steady Turnout at Bayside Polling Station, But Some Voters Say It's a Waste of Time

Voting is a civic duty to one resident, but she says the primary is also completely unnecessary.

Voters made their way to the polls Tuesday for the primary election, but not all voters feel this election was necessary.

Voters are deciding between Sanday Pasch, of Whitefish Bay, and , 80, a Mequon Republican activist who some are calling a "fake Democrat" whose candidacy forced the primary and delayed the general election until Aug. 9.

"They should have just gone and had the recall election," said Bayside voter Joanne Grebner. "It's playing games with people. They just put somebody forward so there was this extra step to go through, and what it does, it costs me, a taxpayer, money in a time when we don't have money."

"This primary however shouldn't be happening," Mary Choice, a Fox Point voter said. "Republicans placing 'fake' democrats in races is just dirty. Why don't they care about wasting the taxpayers money on this?"

Kayla Chadwick, Bayside management assistant, said the flow of voters has been fairly consistent all day.
