Sturtevant Voters Go For Walker, Kleefisch, Wanggaard

Voters in Sturtevant turned out at more than 70 percent, which surpassed the 2010 and 2008 voter turnouts.

After a day that saw lines for both new and regular voters in Sturtevant, the village was looking at over 70 percent with just four minutes to go for the historic recall election.

The last voter turned in ballot number 2,370 a few minutes after eight o'clock after registering with two minutes to go.

Here's how it shook out in Sturtevant:


Gov. Scott Walker: 1,250

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett: 1,099

Hari Trivedi: 14

Rebecca Kleefisch: 1,232

Mahlon Mitchell: 1,106

How do those percentages compare to 2010?

There were about 400 more voters than in 2010, pretty similar percentage.

Turnout in both 2008 and 2010 held at near 60 percent. This year was 77 percent, which follows the trend across SE Wisc: Whitefish Bay = 88%; MP (so far) = about 80%.
