Fox Point Hires Consultant for Village Manager Search

The Fox Point Village Board authorized an $8,000 contract to a consulting firm that expects to find a new village manager in roughly four months.

With the resignation of former Village Manager Susan Robertson, the Fox Point Village Board has begun searching for a new municipal administrator.

The Fox Point Village Board agreed Monday night to hire Oshkosh-based Public Administration Associates to search for a new village manager.

Fox Point will pay the firm $8,000, plus expenses not exceeding $1,000, according to Tom Czaja, the village's police chief and acting village manager. The board interviewed four different consulting firms, and tasked Village President Michael West with the responsibility of drafting the firm's contract with the village.

Public Administration Associates will begin its search process immediately and hopes to decide on a final candidate by the end of May, Czaja said.

Robertson announced in November that she was resigning from her post in Fox Point, and that her last day would be Dec. 27. In her new position, she will serve as the city administrator of Sun Valley, Idaho.
