A Budget That is Good For Wisconsin Taxpayers

With the 2013-2015 budget set for debate this week, now is the time to invest in the priorities of the hard-working taxpayers of Wisconsin. For the past two years, Governor Walker and Republicans in the State Legislature made the tough, but prudent, decisions needed to turn Wisconsin’s economy around and put us on solid financial ground. The budget for 2013-2015 is beneficial to all Wisconsinites and puts our state on a path to a brighter future based on prosperity, performance and reform.

This budget contains nearly one billion dollars in tax relief, including a $650 million income tax cut and a property tax freeze.

By putting in place initiatives to transform education, this budget gives every child in Wisconsin access to a great education, regardless of zip code. This budget expands school choice statewide, increases public school funding and implements a UW system tuition freeze for two years.
