Child and Adolescent Psychologist Joins Rogers' Kenosha Staff

Colleen M. Drosdeck, PsyD, joins the staff at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Kenosha, as a licensed clinical psychologist for its day treatment program, which offers mental health treatment for children and adolescents while allowing them to remain in school. Dr. Drosdeck will evaluate patients, supervise clinical staff and coordinate care with physicians and other professionals.

A graduate of the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Drosdeck looks forward to helping children and adolescents with a range of physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs. Her approach focuses on utilizing individual strengths and building rapport through a cognitive behavioral, strength-based approach.

Dr. Drosdeck is a member of the American Psychological Association and has worked in diverse mental health settings, including Rogers in West Allis, where she facilitated specialized groups focusing on symptoms associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, trauma, alcohol and other drug abuse, and externalizing/internalizing individuals. Additionally, she has assisted with mediation and parent coordination, individual and family therapy, mental status exams and one-on-one in-home therapy for autistic children.

“I believe in providing education and helping children and adolescents develop better ways of thinking and behaving,” Dr. Drosdeck said. “By offering support, developing skills and giving them the freedom to utilize those skills, they can reach their potential. I love to serve as a stepping stone in helping patients achieve their goals.”
