Rogers Introduces New, Expanded OCD Programs

Rogers Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce three new and expanded treatment options for children, teens and adults with a diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), OC-spectrum disorders or other anxiety disorders will be available starting June 10th.  

The new OCD programs will include a day treatment or partial program for adults and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for children and adolescents (8-18) in Oconomowoc, as well as an expanded IOP for adults at the Madison location. Rogers-Oconomowoc also recently expanded its OCD IOP to accommodate more patients.  

Research shows that 2 to 3 million adults in the United States currently have OCD. In addition, about 500,000 children and teens have the disorder. Studies show early treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders is best.   “At Rogers, we’re committed to providing proven-effective treatment for OCD,” Bradley C. Riemann, PhD, clinical director for Rogers’ OCD Center, said. “Utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure ritual prevention (ERP), our team works with patients and their families to help them gain long-term control over symptoms.”  

As part of that commitment, Rogers recently acquired the 23-acre Cedar Ridge property in the Village of Summit, Wisconsin where plans include an expanded 28-bed OCD residential facility.  

Rogers Memorial Hospital is the world’s largest provider for intensive residential treatment of children, adolescents and adults with OCD and anxiety disorders. Rogers’ Child and Adolescent Centers are the only ones in the country, and the adult OCD Center is one of only three nationwide. To date, Rogers has treated thousands of patients with OCD and related disorders.
