3 Apply for Vacant Seat on Fox Point-Bayside School Board

Three residents are in the running to fill an open seat on the Fox Point-Bayside School Board created by the resignation of former board President Debbie Friberg.

Three people are in the running for the appointment to the vacant seat on the Fox Point-Bayside School Board, according Fox Point NOW.

Applying for the seat, according to the newspaper, are: Kelly Greer Levin, Dann Jacobson, and David Smulyan, who ran unsuccesfully in the spring election.

The seat became open after School Board President Debbie Friberg resigned this month to move to Charlotte, N.C.

First elected in 2009, Friberg was appointed to the role of board president one month ago.

The School Board will review the applicants and select someone to fill the remainder of Friberg's term, which expires in April 2015.
