$500K Loan Means New Classrooms, Roof at Good Hope School

The loan comes from the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, and will be repaid over 10 years.

Glendale-River Hills School District has been awarded a $500,000 loan from the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands to renovate Good Hope School building.

Classrooms will be refurbished and a section of the roof replaced, according to minutes from the school board’s May 15 meeting.

Superintendent Larry Smalley confirmed the work, and said that while the building is not being used for classrooms now it could be later. The building is rented out to Glendale Heights Day Care and other organizations, and some other rooms are still open for rental.
