Nicolet Business Team Wins Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl

On March 1, the team of seniors Shrinidhi Kalluru, Roman Hoffmann, Matthew Bootsma and junior Andrew Keene won first place in the Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl (FICB), sponsored by Asset Builders of America & BMO-Harris.

The FICB is a study program for high school students, teaching a wide range of financial literacy topics. The FICB culminates in a live, college-bowl tournament where teams compete to determine a regional champion. The FICB aligns with statewide learning standards in economics and personal finance.

The Nicolet team competed against 12 area high school teams. They were victorious in the Championship Round beating Pius with a score of 285-15.  Next up: Nicolet will compete at the State Level against twelve high school teams from around the state on May 8.

Congratulations to Shrinidhi, Andrew, Roman, Matthew, and Business teacher Joshua Firgens, adviser for the group.
