Nicolet Principal Takes Job in Menomonee Falls

With Greg Depue's resignation, the school district will experience the simultaneous turnover of three administrator positions.

Greg Depue and Rick Monroe came to Nicolet High School together, and at the end of June, they will leave together.

Depue, the school's principal, will end his six-year career with the Nicolet School District to take a math interventionist job at Menomonee Falls High School. DePue started applying for jobs as early as May 7, when The Daily Union reported he was a finalist for the principal position at Fort Atkinson High School.

DePue was not immediately available for comment Friday afternoon. Before coming to Nicolet, DePue was an associate principal at Brookfield East High School, and an associate principal in Cudahy. He also taught in Brookfield and Menomonee Falls.

Depue's departure marks the third Nicolet administrator to resign at the end of this school year.

Superintendent Rick Monroe is leaving the district to become director of youth services at the Milwaukee Center for Independence, which helps people with disabilities live independently.

Filling Monroe's shoes on July 1 will be Robert Kobylski — who is currently the superintendent of Menasha Joint School District.

School Board President Marilyn Franklin also expects the board will hire a new director of curriculum and instruction at its next school board meeting. That position was left available when Lisa Elliott took the job of superintendent at Greenfield School District.
