The Village Scrapbook: Chili Cook-Off Heats Up
Nine chefs craft chili masterpieces for more than 100 taste-testers.
Jean Bernstein of the PTO submitted these pictures of the that took place Thursday evening. Here's what she had to say about the event:
Nine chili chefs created their own, original chili masterpieces complete with a distinctive name for each pot of chili and creative table decorations.
More than 100 people attended the cook-off which included all-you-can-eat chili, noodles, fruit, bread and chili fixings. The People's Choice Award went to "It's a Great Pumpkin Chili," crafted by the Jaglinski Family. Best table decorations went to "FDNY 3 Alarm Fire," by the Scheferman Family.
