Can Polo Make a Comeback in Milwaukee?
A North Shore native is hoping that polo will one day regain the popularity that it once had in Milwaukee.
It may seem hard to believe, but there was a time when polo was very popular in Milwaukee — and one area woman is working to try to restore the "sport of kings" to where it once was.
Megan Flynn, a native of Brown Deer, is teaching others how to learn the sport at The Milwaukee Polo Club in Waukesha County.
"Nobody knows it's here, even the horse people," Flynn told Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News. "We take all ages. You don't have to have ridden a horse before. It doesn't matter. Anyone can learn."
