Nicolet Sports Parent Workshop

As part of a targeted effort to provide the most positive environment possible for its youth athletes, the Nicolet All-Sports Booster Club is sponsoring a workshop to help parents and coaches enrich youth sports for children.   The workshop will be provided by Positive Coaching Alliance, a Stanford University-based non-profit organization developed to teach parents, coaches and organizational leaders how to effectively work with young athletes while instilling the values of teamwork, discipline, respect and goal-setting.

The 60-minute session, to be given at Nicolet High School Community Room F106, teaches parents how to help their kids get the most out of their sports experience. “It addresses how parents can help the Booster Club, coaches and league administrators establish and maintain a positive competitive environment,” said Mary Kappel, Booster Club President. “The workshop also gives parents tips for discussing occurrences in college and professional sports with their kids to bring out life lessons,” she added.

The workshop is free of charge. For additional information, please contact Mary Kappel, Booster Club President.
