On Sept. 19 the JV2 team faced a Germantown team that previously beat them 3-1.  Tied 2-2 with six minutes remaining in the game, the JV2 players turned up their attack and scored 2 goals before the game’s end, winning 4-2.  Sam Kirk had a hat trick.  Jacob Cohen was the other goal scorer.  On Wednesday the JV2 soccer team played at Grafton High School.  With a very strong wind against the Nicolet players in the first half, they were able to defend and keep the game scoreless at the half.  With the wind at their backs during the second half, the JV2 players outscored Grafton 4-0 with goals by Tommy Wisniewski (2), Sean Yufa and Robert Dietz.  Over the weekend, the JV2 boys played in New Berlin West’s JV Tournament.  Friday, facing a strong JV team from Menomonee Falls, the Nicolet boys played extremely hard, but the opponent was just more skilled and defeated the JV2 team 6-1.  Tommy Wisniewski scored for Nicolet.  On Saturday, the Nicolet JV2 team played Pius JV to a 0-0 tie at the half.  The game was then called due to lightning in the area.  The JV2 boys soccer game scheduled for today at Cedarburg has been cancelled.
