Brandon Kappel threw for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth as Nicolet defeated Wauwatosa East 28-10 in high school football on Friday at Hart Park.

The Knights have not started 2-0 since before 2002, according to records at WisSports.net.

Nicolet opens North Shore Conference play at Homestead on Friday.
