Nicolet notched its second upset of the WIAA Summer Baseball tournament on Friday, beating second-seeded Cedarburg 6-2.
The 10th-seeded Knights did it with a five-run rally in the sixth. Matt Appelby's three-run double was the key hit.
Alex Braun came into pitch for the Knights with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the sixth. He got the first hitter to fly out to center and end the inning, keeping the margin at 6-2.
He then closed out the game in the seventh with a ground ball double play.
Nicolet faces either West Bend West or Port Washington at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cedarburg.
