Menomonee Falls (12-1) has moved int0 12th in the Division 1 state softball rankings. The Indians scored 43 runs in three games to win the Muskego Tournament last weeked. They're led by a pair of Haileys — shortstop Mohrfeld is hitting .551 with a slugging percentage of 1.143; catcher Wilson bats .522. Mohrfeld is on an absurd tear, with 17 hits in her last 21 at-bats.

Eimile Pesch and Liz Collins are a big reason why the Brookfield Academy soccer team is ranked fourth in Division 3. According to WisSports.net they have combined for 54 goals and 46 assists in 19 games; Pesch leads the state with 32 goals and Collins is best in assists with 30.

THE WEEK AHEAD

Conference tournaments and meets get rolling this week; track events for the North Shore, Woodland and Greater Metro Conference meets all are today and the regional competitions begin Monday. Tennis and golf meets also take place this week.

Tonight, Tosa East visits Menomonee Falls in girls soccer and reporter Tim Prahl will be there. Both teams are in a three-way tie for second in the Greater Metro Conference with six points, one behind Brookfield Central.

Menomonee Falls takes on Tosa East on Wednesday and Brookfield Central on Thursday as it tries to keep pace with West Allis Hale in the GMC softball chase.

And summer baseball games begin this weekend; a number of local teams begin play Saturday.
