The Building a Better Milwaukee Series co-sponsored by the Cardinal Stritch University Leadership Center and Marquette University College of Professional Studies will present “Leading for an Abundant Milwaukee” featuring Ann Goggins Gregory on Wednesday, April 25. The event will be offered at two sessions, noon-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., and will take place at the O'Donnell Park Pavilion, Miller Room, 910 E. Michigan St., Milwaukee.

Goggins Gregory will explore the specific leadership qualities and tools required to create a paradigm shift toward a better Milwaukee. The conversation will address innovative ways successful non-profits have responded to tough economic times and the fundamental shifts in thinking by non-profits and funders to bring about breakthrough social impact.

A Milwaukee native, Goggins Gregory is senior director of knowledge at Bridgespan Group, which is committed to helping community leaders find ways to build abundant communities through collaboration and innovation. She helped lead Bridgespan's national research on how non-profits are "Managing in Tough Times." Additionally, she co-authored the "Nonprofit Starvation Cycle" in the fall 2009 issue of Stanford Social Innovation Review and "How Governments Can Spur High Charity Performance" published in the Chronicle of Philanthropy in December 2009.
