Wildcats Win Tennis Quadrangular

The University School boys’ tennis team competed in a quadrangular meet at The Prairie School in Racine on Saturday. The Wildcats won 20 of their 21 matches as they defeated Big Foot 7-0, The Prairie School 6-1 and Shorewood 7-0.

USM’s head coach Russ Trimble said, “It was cold and extremely windy with a short pause for rain, but what's new? That has been our season to date.  The quad was very successful for us. Some of the matches were more competitive than others. Michael Lukas and Jack Collison had the toughest matches to play. We worked hard in the less-competitive matches, focusing on certain aspects of our game, and trying to maintain a high level of play. We are careful not to get lazy or casual because it could carry over to the next match, which is Whitefish Bay, a tough D1 team. We need to keep that high level of intensity and strive for improvement to reach our ultimate goal of getting to Team State.”
