Run Cannon Run Takes Patch for a Trip

As Steve Cannon runs for cancer research around Lake Michigan, he's showing off his Patch pride with a water bottle filled with flowers.

It's a task many people only attempt once, not 40 times. Steve Cannon is running 40 marathons in 40 days to raise awareness and money for cancer research.

Patch met up with Cannon at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay two weeks ago at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay. He explained what drives him to take on the 1,037 mile trek We gave him a Patch T-shirt and water bottle to say thanks and now he's showing off that Patch pride by documenting some of his stops with a flower-filled water bottle in front of noticeable landmarks.

There’s a Twitter account following his every move at @RunCannonRun.

He’s keeping fans updated on Facebook and Brian Meeks is chronicling Cannon's multiple marathons with a blog entitled, "Lake Effect."

In the blog, day 22 talks about a woman from Colorado who came all the way to Wisconsin just to run with Cannon. Roughly half way through the marathon now, Meeks writes about Cannon's tough time with solid food. Explaining how sports drinks and smoothies are beginning to take a toll on Cannon's mouth. But Cannon stays strong because of people like the woman from Colorado who come to join his cause.
