A Festival of Festivals On Fox Point and Bayside's Weekend Planner

You don't have to go far to find a tent, music and food. Scan our list of events and plan out your weekend.

Nobody does a summer festival like Wisconsin, and there are plenty for Fox Point and Bayside residents to choose from this weekend.

Temple Menorah invites members and non-members to their annual Menorahfest at 11 p.m. Saturday; it’s at Temple Menorah at 9363 N. 76th St. Enjoy games, prizes and plenty of food.

Those who want to venture down to the East Side can enjoy Brady Street Festival or the Milwaukee Brewfest at the lakefront. Slightly further south down the coast is Germanfest at Maier Festival Park.

Out west, Menomonee Falls is in the midst of a four-day bash titled — not surprisingly — Falls Fest. And if you like fairs and don’t mind a little drive, the Washington County Fair continues through Sunday. Darius Rucker — once of Hootie and the Blowfish — is the Friday music headliner and Daughtry tops the bill Saturday.  Fair tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for kids 7-12; concert admission will set you back more.

Back closer to home are two farmers markets on Saturday. The Fox Point Farmers Market is at 8 a.m. at Stormonth School, and the “Green Market” is in the parking lot of Beans & Barley on Milwaukee’s East Side beginning at 10 a.m.

Sports fans can drive up to Green Bay for the first weekend of Packers training camp, or find a TV at a “soccer bar” at 3 p.m. Sunday to see the USA try to win the CONCACAF Gold Cup over Honduras. (Which this soccer fan might be inclined to do.)
